Safety Director

The Safety Director will be responsible for developing a culture of safety across all units of the organization.
This position will develop and implement safety plans to mitigate risks in each program area and ensure the physical and emotional safety of all staff and clients.
*Primary Responsibilities/ Tasks:* * Develop and implement processes to safeguard the physical health of clients including: facility assessment and emergency drills.
* Ensure all program building permits are up to date including fire and health inspections.
* Works with the property management team to ensure that all program buildings are in optimum conditions.
* Conduct monthly safety visits to all program site and provide recommendation for improvements.
* Ensure the vehicle fleet is in optimum conditions and adequate to safely transport clients.
* Conduct safety training for all drivers in the organization.
* Collaborate with HR in conducting safety training for staff including onboarding.
* Coordinate with other agencies to train staff in safety matter such as active shooter, child abuse prevention and CPR.
* Ensure the organization meet all OSHA regulations.
* Develop maintenance routines for the program buildings to ensure the facilities are up to date and in good conditions.
* Completes safety audits of cameras to identify areas of opportunities in maintaining a culture of safety.
* Create partnerships with the police and fire department to support the safety efforts in the organization.
* Serve as the primary liaison for safety subcontractors.
* Ensure safety guards are implementing a routine that guarantee the security of the clients.
* Assure the effective execution of balance scorecard objectives, milestones, metrics, and initiatives assigned to its position.
* Complete other duties as assigned by the CEO/Executive Director.

*Qualifications and Experience Requirements:* * BA in public safety or related field.
* ·At least 5 years of experience in the safety field.
Preferably school safety.
* ·Ability to conduct staff training.
* Knowledge of OSHA and child safety principles.
* Ability to secure clearance for PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI, and National Sex Offenders Clearance (required).
* Possess or ability to secure a Driver’s License and insurance (preferred).
* Ability to secure health clearances every two years and TB once (required).
* Proficiency in Excel, Power point and Microsoft Office, Salesforce.
* Bilingual Spanish/English or another universal language.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.
