JG Real Estate is a busy full-service brokerage located in Northern Liberties and serving all of Center City and surrounding neighborhoods, offering leasing, sales, and property management.
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our Maintenance Team who has the ability to perform both proactive and reactive handyman-level repairs at clients’ properties.
The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of all facets of building maintenance and will be proficient in making smaller repairs.
This position requires professionalism and communication skills.
Our Maintenance Team is responsible for overseeing our large portfolio of managed properties, performing a variety of inspections (annuals, security deposit, turnover planning), responding to any and all maintenance requests submitted by tenants, performing small repairs themselves while coordinating third-party vendors (electricians, plumbers, HVAC, painters, cleaners, roofers, etc.
) for others, and advising landlords on the best course of action for repair or for prevention.
We represent the landlords and our clients with a fiduciary duty to them at all times, but maintaining positive relationships with tenants and vendors is also necessary.
We believe in balancing fairness with empathy, and that tenant satisfaction is ultimately in the best interest of the landlord.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range of $50-55k commensurate with experience
15 days paid time off (PTO)
401K, eligible after 6 months of employment with a match up to 4%

Compensation:
$50,000 - $55,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
The day-to-day duties of the job include but are not limited to:
Changing lock-sets
Installing smoke, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers
Light landscaping work
Replacing hinges and shaving doors down
Minor plumbing repairs
Minor electrical repairs
Painting / Patching
HVAC maintenance work
Debris removal
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills & Abilities
Clean driving record
Clean criminal background
3 years of experience working as a maintenance technician, tradesman, or contractor
Ideally comfortable utilizing specialized equipment (dump trailer, tractor, etc)
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Creative problem solving
On call availability
Good physical condition and strength
Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
