This position is responsible for reviewing and reconciling ledgers and statements, communicating effectively with tenants and owners, supporting financial transactions, and maintaining up-to-date and organized accounting records.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, possess exceptional time management and organizational skills, be able to stay focused for extended periods, and be skilled at both written and verbal communication.

This position offers a salary of $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical and dental insurance, and 401k matching.
Requirements
Review tenant ledgers & owner statements, investigating any irregularities
Communicate with owners and tenants regarding billing inquiries and portal assistance
Correspond with tenants on the status of their security returns in our shared inbox
Onboard and offboard properties in our property management software, ensuring accurate tenant ledgers
Onboard clients into our property management software, keeping information up-to-date and accurate
Process renewal credits, security returns, overpaid rent, and break lease accounting fees/collections.
Support billing for in-house maintenance technicians, third-party vendors, and utilities.
Enter daily client receipts and process bank deposits through our property management and accounting software
Return internal credits and concessions to tenants and property owners
Keep physical and digital financial records up-to-date and organized
Take deposits to the bank as needed
Reconcile and support financial transactions in our property management software and accounting software as needed
Education, Experience, and Skills required:
Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum of two years of proven experience in accounting, reconciliation, and bookkeeping
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy while handling financial data
Proficient in using accounting software, MS Office Applications, and Google Suite
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent communication skills for effective tenant and owner interactions
Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
Ability to organize, multitask, and work under pressure while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.

Experience supporting financial transactions in property management is a plus
