This role is responsible for creating and implementing External Manufacturing (EM) strategies to deliver food safety and quality of products, secure supply, streamline new product development, reduce costs, and improve cash flow.
The role heavily interacts with internal stakeholders, including Quality and Food Safety, Planning, Logistics and Distribution, Finance, Product Development, and Marketing to understand business needs and manage supply partners to deliver on business expectations.

Major Responsibilities Include:
Strategy and Leadership
Develop and drive category strategies for assigned meal categories, understanding the current spending, product portfolio mix, supply partners, future business needs, market insights, and ways of working to support revenue growth, margin enhancement, and cash flow improvements.
Ability to proactively identify and manage risks related to the quality of products, supply security, pricing and commodity, financial assessment, and responsiveness to macro environment change.
Budget and forecast purchase price variance (PPV) and create ability to cover commodities in a timely manner with External Manufacturing partners to generate positive PPV.
Lead and negotiate short term / long term contracts and Master Service Agreements with suppliers.
Operations and Execution Excellence
Continually assess the optimization of External Manufacturing network and conduct sourcing events (e.
g.
, RFP) to identify new supply partners to reduce the overall COGS and improve customer service.
Evaluate current processes, systems, and working methods and implement plans to drive maximum operating efficiencies, continuous improvement mindset, and business process re-engineering to deliver top-tier results.
Launch a supplier relationship management program with strategic supply partners to identify and manage risks, deliver productivity projects, improve payment terms, network inventory, and drive innovation to support customer needs.
Conduct quarterly supplier business review meetings.
Participate in S&OP meetings to understand the product portfolio mix, overall demand, supply, and inventory plan and channel the communication to supply partners to drive execution excellence.
Support product team in commercialization of new products and bring new ideas or innovation to the organization based on business needs.
Customer Experience
Take accountability of improving production attainment and service level for managed suppliers.
In partnership with the customer experience and Quality team, identify top customer complaints and work with suppliers to solve them.
Drive initiatives to improve inventory freshness and Turn Around Time from customer order to delivery.
Sustainable Results
Deliver top-tier cost savings and margin improvement results: Net 3-5% annually.
Establish pricing transparency and review mechanism to take advantage of market movements and create the ability to forecast prices for the year.
Improve cash flow by 15 days per annum (combination of payment terms and inventory)
Support the delivery of revenue targets by ensuring supply security and new product initiatives.
Delivery of annual ESG goals
Other internal KPIs are related to people, processes, and collaborations.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is preferred in operations, engineering, or supply chain.
An MBA is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, sourcing, and supply chain, preferably in the food industry.
