We are actively seeking an accomplished professional to assume the role of Director of Architecture, with a focus on the Commercial Global Platforms, Analytics and Technology.
As a Director of Architecture, you will set the vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure an organization’s IT Strategy is defined and aligned with its business objectives, goal and data driven organization.
You will develop complex end to end application, cloud platform solutions, conceptual and logical data and AI/ML Solutions for the organization and ensuring the architecture is optimized to meet the requirements and needs of the business.
Working closely with executive-level leaders across Commercial, Digital/Data Technology and Regional technology teams to advise on end-to-end solutions to business problems and opportunities using modern architecture practices.
Ensuring the alignment of the Commercial Application, platform and data strategy to the broader organizations’ mission, strategy/objectives, capabilities, and processes using industry recognized well architecture patterns.
Expanding the company's use of data, cloud platforms and global solutions as a strategic enabler of goals and objectives, realizing global business benefits whilst empowering local service innovation.

These responsibilities include some of the following: In collaboration with the global technology, data, and analytics leaders, define the strategy and roadmap that include cloud enablement, SAAS offerings, data and AI/ML products, data migration, master data management and legacy technology remediation etc.
Architect scalable, high performance hosting solutions that meet the commercial technology objectives and strategy.
Plan and deliver legacy infrastructure transformation and migration to drive business outcomes.
Lead a group of architects, provide them direction & help with implementing an Azure cloud architecture solution that are optimized for Scalability and cost while ensuring that is aligned with best practices and industry standards.
Work with the Business leaders, Regional Tech Executives, Engineering leaders and Architects to review strategies, requirements, and solutions to assess the impact on global technology strategy, platforms, data and information architecture and ensure consistency and traceability throughout the enterprise architecture.
Own the governance of architecture principles and policies and apply influence across delivery teams to ensure compliance and adoption of standard methodology.
Define architecture framework and actual architecture for all solutions, well-integrated, across technologies, maintain/document, and review architecture constantly.
Work with the architecture teams within Global Tech on standards, tooling, and production of ongoing Information Architecture assets such as Data Lineage, Lifecycle Management, Quality Monitoring and Metadata Management.
Responsible for steering/driving the most important and complex future planning activities and projects.
Involved in the development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the research/investigation, selection, development, implementation, and use of data & analytics platforms within the organization.
Leads efforts to develop and maintain the architectural assets for the domain, sets an architecture direction for the domain that is aligned with business and IT goals.
Represents enterprise architecture by advocating and sharing knowledge, participates as a member of architectural review boards (ARB) that ensure architecture quality and compliance.
Acts as a trusted advisor in identifying long-term technology strategy & vision and communicates the value of EA across the organization.
Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 10+ years of professional experience in Azure Cloud Solution Architecture / Engineering and data architecture.
Architecture Strategy and Complex / End-to-End full stack solution development Azure Cloud platform and Services SME knowledge Programming knowledge - Java, Python and C# Knowledge of networks, Cybersecurity expertise, Data Solutions and Cognitive Service enablement Proven background on implanting DevOps and MLOps pipelines Expertise in Cloud Cost management and implementing best practices Experience with the Azure Services and Data components: Container based solutions, Microservices, Streaming Solutions, Data Bricks, Azure DW/Synapse, Spark, Azure Integration services, and ingestion tools such as ADF, Snowflake, ADL, and Power BI required, along with MLOps and GenAI.
Experience leading architecture/Platform teams to solve business problems.
Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Master’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
Ability to create leading architectural principles and disciplines.
Good communication, presentation and influential skills Advanced knowledge of Pharma regulations as well as EU compliance, with a solid focus on GDPR and Data Privacy.
Understanding of core data technology platform & operational technology in R&D, Vaccine, manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Any of the following a bonus: EA (e.
g.
TOGAF), Data Architect Certifications (Azure, GCP).
ITIL / Agile/Product certifications.
