Salon Assistant/Receptionist (Support Professional team member) Wednesdays and Fridays 9-3 Job summary: Illume Hair is a new salon in Media, PA.
Illume has several goals.
One goal is to be as eco-friendly as possible in the beauty industry.
We proudly compost hair, recycle all that we can including color tubes and used foils and we use soap and laundry detergents that are biodegradable.
Another goal is to be diverse.
This means to Illume, that we cater to all types and textures of hair.
Whether our clients have fine, super straight hair or a head of hair full of tight curls, we want to be the salon that has the knowledge, the stylists and the products to take care of all hair types.
Ultimately our most important goal for Illume Hair is to be a place that feels like “home” whether you are a client or team member.
Responsibilities of a Support Team Member are as follows but are not limited to: • Maintaining laundry (must be able to walk up and down stairs) • Maintaining the cleanliness of the salon during working hours • Shampooing clients, applying conditioning treatments and providing an atmosphere for relaxation • Greet Clients and settle them in • Answer phone calls and return messages • Help clients schedule their appointments • Assist stylists throughout the day • Should be comfortable using a computer/salon software.
• Support 2 community outreach days per year • Follow guidelines for dress code You should also know that we are a team that is always moving and working.
During your shift there will be no down time except on your break.
There will always be something to clean, reorganize or attend to, but be assured you will not be the only one working at it.
ALL team members are held to the same standard.
Your role as Support Professional is key to a smooth running salon.
This position is just as important as all the other positions within the salon team.
Qualifications: • Hard worker • Willing to take constructive criticism • People person • Professionally and hygienically dressed and groomed • NO long fingernails • Computer/iPad knowledge Salary: $10-$15 per hour depending on experience.
