The Tax Credit Investor Relations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Berkadia Affordable Tax Credit Solutions' Investor Relations Team, as needed.
The position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual capable of handling multiple, ongoing assignments that support the team's capital raising efforts.
We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:
Assist IR Team members in creating and maintaining investor/fund project pipelines
Assist IR Team members in keeping TEAMS/Planner communication channels up to date regarding investor feedback on individual deal flow as well as general investor guidance
Monitor TEAMS/Planner channels to ensure updates are completed in a timely manner
Conduct research to identify and target prospective investors
Utilize both internal Berkadia databases and technology as well as external databases and resources to support investor outreach activity
Oversee IR technology and interface w/ Berkadia IT and Operations Teams
Coordinate w/ Acquisitions team and Mortgage Bankers in identifying geographic locations in need of Tax Credit Equity
Support the efforts of the IR Team Members, as needed, to on-board new investors and/or grow the total relationship with existing investors
Provide information/data/reports for and actively participate in various Investor/Acquisitions/Mortgage Banking Team Meetings, and other relevant production teams and investor meetings as needed
Manage and track deal and fund level data that impacts the IR Team
Assist in providing timely, efficient and quality responses to investor inquiries
Understand each investor's business and legal approval processes and timing of each
Provide support to IR Team Members for investor fund level and project level business due diligence processes and communicate regularly with other internal departments (Acquisitions, Underwriting, Fund Management) to support a positive investor experience
Provide support to IR Team Members for fund level and project level legal due diligence and closing process and communicate regularly with Berkadia's internal closing coordinator to ensure that investor closing checklists are maintained and updated regularly
We Stand for Excellence, so to achieve success in this role you should have:
Bachelor's degree and one or more years of prior housing tax credit equity experience, or real estate finance experience.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills and an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
Show initiative, generate ideas, and contribute to effective management of operations
Demonstrate good technical, research and analytical skills – proficient in Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Teams, Planner, and other relevant software.
Ability to work independently and be accountable while also working collaboratively in a team environment
