JOIN US AS OUR MARKETING COORDINATOR!
We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented, and experienced individual to work as a Marketing Coordinator in our Mt.
Airy office.
This position is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position with an anticipated 40+ hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize co-op resources to implement marketing and advertising strategies.
Coordinate with vendors, community partners, staff, members and committees as needed to communicate product information, programming, and other retail and co-op activities to the public.
Assist HR in marketing job openings at the Co-op.
Assist in the production and placement of ads, including video, print and digital.
Track marketing strategy objectives and successes using standard methodology.
Help implement National Cooperative Grocer resources and marketing support.
Work with the Communication and Retail Teams to devise promotion plans that fit the co-op’s needs (permanent, seasonal, weekly).
Report back to the Communication and Retail Teams on outcomes.
Support departments in the creation of promotional displays, pricing, discounting, and packaging.
Incorporate store promotions into co-op’s social media and advertising activities
Visit other co-ops and stores to keep up with trends, etc.
Work with the Co-op’s art director to create store, department, and product signage.
Help create educational materials relating to products and services.
Coordinate other co-op signs, i.
e.
banners, events, meetings.
Help develop Weavers Way brand merchandise (shopping bags, clothing, mugs, etc.
).
Maintain inventory of co-op related brochures.
Coordinate planning and meetings between multiple staff members on long-term marketing projects.
Weavers Way Branded Goods
Assist Retail Director in the development of Weavers Way branded goods.
Work with key stakeholders (executive chef, purchasing manager, etc.
) as necessary.
Work with art director on packaging and labeling.
Track sales and budget.
Membership and Outreach Activities
Tie membership and outreach activities into marketing strategies.
Attend member events, demos, workshops, and other outreach events to represent the on social media, document, and to assist outreach staff.
Provide on-going support to Weavers Way regarding the delivery of excellent customer
service.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Cooperative Association.
Demonstrated writing and editing skills
Demonstrated marketing skills
Basic Photography skills required to manage social media content
Grocery / Retail Food / Culinary experience a plus.
Creative story-telling skills a plus
General computer proficiency, design software and/or website/content management skills a plus.
Previous experience with promotions and displays a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation and willing to commute to all Weavers Way store and farm locations
Be or become upon hiring a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op
