The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing employee relations counsel, facilitating talent acquisition efforts, and maintaining a culture of safety to attract, retain and develop organizational talent.
The HR Generalist partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
This person will serve as the point-of-contact for workers' compensation, and unemployment, and facilitate the timely and accurate processing of stay and exit interviews companywide.

Essential HR Generalist Job Functions Serves as a strategic HR advisor and provides employee relations support to the portfolio as it relates to progressive discipline counsel and documentation, performance improvement plans, employee investigations, and leave of absence requests.
Partners with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop a strategy to assist with recruitment and selection efforts.
Drives all internal and external recruiting efforts including advertising, employment brand extension, career website and job board optimization, employee referral program promotion, and network outreach.
Collaborates with the Marketing Department to design and post recruiting content on social media platforms to attract and attain talent.
Provides biweekly reporting on key recruitment metrics.
Manages the Midyear Check-in and Annual Performance Appraisal processes.
Assists the Director of HR in leading the Safety Committee, facilitates the Safety Incentive Program, and acts as the point-of-contact for filing and overseeing worker's compensation claims and employee accidents.
Reviews employment screening requests and facilitates background screening process for all new hires.
Facilitates the preboarding process by coordinating with the Compensation & Benefits Specialist, IT, Training, and hiring managers to ensure preparedness for the employees’ first day.
Collaborates with the Compensation and Benefits Specialist to facilitate quarterly new hire orientation calls in partnership with the Training Department.
Coordinates team building events with the Executive Assistant such as charity drives, team lunches, and other events to promote employee engagement and increase connectiveness at the Home Office.
Conducts 90-day stay and exit interviews.
Processes all employee relations and recruiting related billing.
Cultivates partnerships with colleges and professional organizations to support the organization’s talent acquisition and pipeline strategy.
Responds to unemployment claims timely and in accordance with appropriate procedures.
Regularly audits ADP HRIS and electronic employee files to ensure employee records are accurate.
Upholds the Company’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy and Injury and Illness Prevention Program; generates reports and ensures training and compliance to conform to Company, federal, and state EEO and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience in a corporate environment Minimum 1-3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
SHRM or HRCI certification and extensive knowledge of state laws related to Human Resources.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to convey complex information in a simplified, actionable way.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Organizational skills to enable effective management of multiple, shifting priorities.
Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines.
Strong teamwork, process-orientation, and customer service focus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; Experience with ADP and Canva preferred.
Master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree required.
