The Franklin Fountain is seeking an organized, positive minded individual, ideally with some ice cream making experience.
Other experience with cake decorating, baking, pastry, and candy-making is a plus.
Seasonal needs vary, so top performers have an opportunity to train across multiple departments over the course of the year including candy, chocolate, baked goods, etc.
Position would be part-time to start, with the potential for full-time hours in the coming months.
Some evening/weekend shifts may be required, particularly in the Summer season.
The ideal candidate is able to work cleanly and efficiently, follow recipes, lift up to 50 lb, climb stairs throughout a shift, and multi-task.
Self-directed time management, organization, and sanitation is a must.
A strong work ethic, willingness to hear and incorporate feedback, and desire to hone ice cream-making skills is important.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
\* Reporting to Franklin Fountain Kitchen Managers and/or Head Ice Cream Maker, and interfacing with kitchen production schedule
\* Batch production of Ice Cream, Sorbets and other frozen desserts.
\* Cleaning and maintaining workspace and equipment.
Qualifications/requirements:
\* Flexible during seasonal demands/variety of kitchen tasks
\* Some food safety experience, ServSafe certified a plus.
\* Weekend/holiday availability
\* Experience in professional kitchen setting preferred.
